I had heard how fantastic Jen was from other teachers and so it is quite true when she consented to be our clinician for the Southwest Idaho Middle School (SWIMS) Honor Orchestra this past winter. Our students thought she was super funny and a little quirky too. Jen was very motivating in her fun teaching strategies and our kids had a great experience. and afterward they came back a changed, more serious musician! This clinic was oh so worth it! Thank you Jen Drake for molding our middle school kids into beautiful young musicians!
From Daniel Featherstone, Wasatch Junior High
I just wanted to say THANK YOU for your wonderful clinic at the Orchestra Festival yesterday. The kids loved your energy, enthusiasm, humor and comments. Thanks for making it such a great and rewarding musical experience for them.

“Jen Drake is a wonder! Her energy and enthusiasm are infectious, and inspire students to reach for and achieve high levels of excellence. My students loved working with her, and left the festival with a renewed love for creating beautiful music.”
From Gini Rosandick, Caldwell Public Schools
Jen Drake was my “go to clinician” with students from Caldwell High School. I knew from past experiences that Jen would mesmerize my students with her ability to analyze and solve musical problems using humor and a quick come back that students readily responded to. Her technical knowledge of “how do I make my instrument do that” is always 2 steps in front of the students. Her ability to model tone quality and style with her viola is a valuable tool that gives credibility to her instruction. However, her most valuable characteristic is how she instantly relates to students and gets them to want to be a better orchestra because they want to please her. The likability factor is key to her success. Thank you Jen for contributing to the success of students in Caldwell.
