Jennifer Drake is the music director for the Serenata Orchestra. Under her direction, Serenata has grown into Boise’s premier community orchestra. With a focus on community engagement and education, Serenata has transformed how Boise enjoys classical music. This past season, audiences solved a whodunit mystery with “Clue,” an interactive concert experience where the audience listens to clues revealed in Edward Elgar’s Enigma Variations. They also learned more about musical instruments with a game of Bingo during our “Attack of the Killer Bs” concert. Serenata hosts Boise’s Sing Along, Play Along Messiah, an event where the Treasure Valley comes together for a performance of the big choruses from Handel’s Messiah.
Jennifer is also the assistant conductor for the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival.
